On the evening of September 26, the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor (VFF) organized a "Full Moon Festival Night" at Alliance One Garment Company Limited (Giao Long Industrial Park, Giao Long Commune), bringing a warm playground to 350 children of workers and union members of enterprises in the area.
Children were immersed in the bustling atmosphere with lion dance, Uncle Cuoi - Sister Hang's activities, along with many fun games and meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival gifts.
On this occasion, the organizing committee also awarded 10 scholarships to students who overcome difficulties and study well to encourage the spirit of studiousness and strive to rise up.
Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh - Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor said that the program was implemented thanks to the support of businesses, showing concern and care for the children of workers and laborers.
According to Mr. Linh, the activity not only brings joy to children but also contributes to creating cohesion between workers and enterprises, encouraging workers to actively participate in union activities and develop production with enterprises.
In the coming time, the Provincial Federation of Labor will continue to implement many programs to care for children, especially focusing on children in difficult circumstances in remote areas, so that they have better conditions to study, play and help parents work with peace of mind and stabilize their lives, Mr. Linh shared.
