Workers join hands to introduce labor
At the social housing project of the trade union in Giao Long commune, Vinh Long province, the construction atmosphere is urgent with many teams deploying simultaneously. Faced with the pressure of progress, the construction unit is increasing labor recruitment, especially unskilled labor in the locality.
Mr. Nguyen Van Tai, an iron and steel team worker, said that his daily work is boiled iron, processing steel reinforcement for foundation and structural items. According to him, in the past time, he and many workers have regularly worked overtime to keep up with the general progress.
There is a lot of work, so the brothers decided to do their best. Outside of office hours, we still stay to work part-time. I also introduced more relatives to work as general laborers to help with work and have extra income," Mr. Tai said.
According to Mr. Tai, recruiting more workers not only helps reduce work pressure but also creates job opportunities for local people. He believes that when there are more people, the progress of items will be accelerated.

Meanwhile, Mr. Tran Minh Phuc, a welder at the construction site, said that the nature of the job requires skill, so it is very necessary to supplement human resources. According to him, the welder group is actively calling for more people from the same industry to participate.
The project is entering a stage that requires many welders for processing and installation. I also contact friends and colleagues in the same profession to introduce them to work. Skilled people can work immediately, with stable income," Mr. Phuc shared.
Mr. Phuc added that having more workers in the same industry not only helps share work but also ensures construction quality. According to him, a team of skilled workers will make an important contribution to completing on schedule.
Coordinating local labor recruitment
Mr. Luu Hoang Trung - Vice Chairman of Giao Long Commune People's Committee, Vinh Long province - said that right from the start of the trade union social housing project, the locality has proactively coordinated to notify people of recruitment needs.
According to Mr. Trung, when the construction unit has a need, the locality is ready to support connection and introduce workers. "We announce on Zalo groups from commune to hamlet so that officials and people can grasp information, participate in working at the project, both have income and contribute to building the locality," Mr. Trung added.
Meanwhile, Mr. Thai Van Hung - Deputy Commander of the project - said that the construction unit is facing a large volume of work in the coming time, so the need to recruit more workers is very urgent.
To ensure progress according to the plan signed with the investor, we have developed a plan to recruit more local workers, and at the same time strengthen forces from units in Can Tho City and Ho Chi Minh City," Mr. Hung said.
According to Mr. Hung, the addition of human resources will help deploy many items simultaneously, avoiding the situation of concentrating work at one time. He emphasized that in addition to quantity, the unit also focuses on labor quality to ensure technical requirements.
“We prioritize recruiting local workers to reduce costs and create jobs for people. In parallel, technical forces from major cities will support jobs that require high skills,” Mr. Hung said.
Mr. Hung added that in the coming time, the unit will continue to closely coordinate with local authorities and related organizations to promote recruitment, thereby ensuring the project is completed on schedule, serving the housing needs of union members and workers.
