Self-protection awareness spreads on the construction site
Occupational safety at the Trade Union social housing project in Giao Long commune, Vinh Long province was emphasized from the beginning, with a strict control system for each construction stage and each workplace.
From electrical systems, scaffolding to personal protective equipment, everything is fully equipped, ensuring safe working conditions for more than 150 workers directly participating in construction at the construction site.
Not only stopping at complying with regulations, many workers also proactively raise awareness, considering self-protection as a common responsibility, contributing to maintaining safety for the whole collective during the working process.
Worker Nguyen Dinh Dan said that in low-lying positions, workers are equipped with gloves and full helmets, and the electrical system always has shockproof equipment to ensure safety.
According to Mr. Dan, when working at height, workers are required to use seat belts, safety nets and supporting equipment to minimize risks that may occur during construction.
The construction unit always reminds the brothers to comply with regulations, because just a small mistake can affect many other people in the construction site," Mr. Dan added.
Sharing the same view, worker Nguyen Thanh Tam said that each worker needs to consciously comply with safety regulations, because protecting oneself is also protecting colleagues around.
According to Mr. Tam, when all workers are conscious, the working environment will be safer, helping everyone feel secure in working, improve work efficiency and limit unnecessary risks.
Close monitoring, ensuring safety
In parallel with construction, safety supervision is carried out continuously according to each item, each working shift, helping to detect risks early, handle them promptly on the spot, limit incidents, and ensure progress and quality of the project.
Mr. Thai Van Hung - Deputy Project Commander, said that the construction unit always ensures full compliance with labor safety regulations according to current regulations.
According to Mr. Hung, inspection and supervision work is deployed to each department, each working shift, and at the same time, workers are regularly reminded to strictly comply with safety regulations.
We pay special attention to inspection at the scene, promptly rectify errors, to ensure a safe working environment for all workers," Mr. Hung added.
From the investor's perspective, Mr. Le Van Nghia - Member of the Presidium of the General Confederation, Head of the Trade Union Project Management Board, said that supervision work is always maintained regularly.
According to Mr. Nghia, every week, the investor organizes periodic inspections to assess the labor safety situation, promptly detect and handle problems arising at the construction site.
Up to now, the construction site has not recorded any incidents affecting the safety of workers, this is the result of strictly implementing control measures," Mr. Nghia added.
With a scale of nearly 700 apartments, the social housing project of Giao Long Commune Trade Union is gradually forming a new face, meeting the housing needs of workers in the area.
Along with ensuring construction progress, labor safety work continues to be strictly maintained, creating a foundation for the project to be completed on schedule, safely and sustainably.
