On the morning of March 27, Lai Chau Provincial Federation of Labor (LWF) coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize the opening ceremony of the first provincial Workers' and Employees' Pickleball Tournament in 2025 - Xpro Cup competition.
Accordingly, the tournament has 54 delegations with over 380 athletes, representing over 26,000 union members and employees in the whole province.
Athletes compete in the following events: leadership tournament; full-time union cadre tournament; grassroots tournament for cadres and employees.
Mr. Hoang Tho Trung - Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor - said: "The pickleball tournament encourages and motivates cadres and employees who are union members to practice physical exercise and sports to improve their health, creating conditions for athletes to meet, exchange experiences, strengthen solidarity, and contribute to building Lai Chau province to develop more and more".
The Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor also asked the athletes to stay calm, confident, and determined to compete to achieve the highest results. The Organizing Committee and the referee team uphold the spirit of responsibility, objectivity, fairness, and indifference, and successfully manage the tournament.
The pickleball - Xpro Cup competition took place over 4 days, from March 27 to 30.
