The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor owns 19 vocational training facilities, including: 3 colleges, 13 secondary schools and 3 vocational training centers of the Trade Union. The vocational training facilities of the Trade Union annually provide vocational training at the levels: Elementary, secondary and college; provide occupational safety training for workers; train Trade Union officials, contributing to ensuring social security, socio-economic development; affirming the effectiveness of the activities of the Trade Union's public service units.
The draft Resolution sets out the general goal of continuing to innovate and develop vocational education in the Trade Union organization in an open and flexible manner to create the best development conditions for vocational education institutions, moving towards full autonomy to be proactive in training skilled human resources, gradually moving towards training high-quality human resources by 2030 in qualified vocational education institutions.
One of the specific goals by 2025 is to complete the review and arrangement of vocational training institutions according to the approved plan and 100% of vocational training institutions have approved financial autonomy plans; 100% of vocational training institutions have conditions to ensure minimum training quality according to regulations, striving to have at least 1 vocational training institution participating in the assessment according to the criteria of high-quality vocational schools...
Strive to have at least one college become a high-quality training and practice center in the region by 2030...
According to the Draft Resolution, strengthening the connection between vocational education and the labor market and sustainable employment is one of the solutions to achieve the goals. Accordingly, promoting the participation of relevant parties in vocational education on the basis of proactiveness, harmonization of interests and social responsibility. Creating favorable conditions for vocational education institutions and enterprises to cooperate closely and organically in the spirit of ensuring the effective participation of enterprises in vocational education activities.
