This morning, June 27, more than 1 million candidates nationwide entered the second day of the exam, which is also the final exam day of the 2025 high school graduation exam.
This year's exam is organized specifically, according to both the 2006 and 2018 general education programs. For candidates taking the 2018 General Education Program, they will take 2 elective subjects out of the remaining 9 subjects studied in grade 12, including: Foreign Language, History, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Economic & Legal Education, Information Technology, Technology.
With these subjects, candidates tend to choose subjects in the social sciences, similar to recent years. History and Geography are the two most registered subjects.
The structure and content of the exam for the subjects have also changed accordingly, closely following the current general education program. Accordingly, History is organized in the form of multiple-choice tests. Candidates will take a test for 50 minutes with 28 questions, focusing on 2 types of test: 4-answer multiple choice test and true/false answer multiple choice test.
Lao Dong will update the exam questions to answer all History questions in the 2025 high school graduation exam as soon as possible, as soon as the candidate leaves the exam room, to the quarter of readers.
According to Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Ha, Deputy Director of the Department of Education Quality Management (Ministry of Education and Training), the 2025 exam will have differentiation questions, requiring contact to solve practical problems - this is a key factor to classify candidates. The exam focuses on knowledge from grade 12, but there is still content from grades 10 and 11. The questions can be independent by grade or combine grade 12 with grade 10 and 11 to assess applied and differential capacity.

This year, the Ministry of Education and Training arranged candidates to stay in the same room throughout the exam, although the subjects of choice are different. Therefore, an optional subject can be taken in both time frames. For example, in class 1, candidates choose Ly subject, taking the exam at the first time (from 7:45 to 8:35). Department 2 also has candidates taking the Physics exam, but in the second time frame (8:40 - 9:30).
To ensure exam security, each optional subject will have 48 test codes, divided equally into two time frames. Candidates in the first round will be given the test code from 1 to 24, the second round will have the test code from 25 to 48.
Candidates taking the exam under the program only took the exam this morning. Meanwhile, free students will take a natural science or social science exam on the morning of June 27 and take an additional English exam in the afternoon of the same day.
