Information from Lang Son Provincial People's Committee, the province has just assigned 496 labor contract targets for support and service work in public non-business units in 2026, an increase of 122 targets compared to the previous year.
Accordingly, this is a group of workers performing jobs such as security guards, drivers, garbage workers, cooks and some other contracts in public non-business units.
Out of a total of 496 targets, 318 targets were assigned at the provincial level and 178 targets at the commune level. Compared to 2025, the total target increased from 374 to 496.
Notably, the commune-level target increased sharply, from 49 to 178, in the context that communes and wards need more support forces after arranging and operating the new local government model.
The target structure for 2026 includes 188 security contracts, 71 drivers, 86 janitors, 10 cooks and 141 other contracts.
The security group accounted for the largest number, an increase of 51 targets compared to 2025; cleaning increased from 56 to 86 targets; other contracts increased from 99 to 141 targets.
At the provincial level, the Department of Health is the unit assigned the most targets with 193 contracts, an increase of 16 targets compared to 2025.
The positions at the Department of Health include 44 security guards, 39 drivers, 29 janitors, 5 cooks and 76 other contracts.
Some other units assigned targets include the Department of Agriculture and Environment 27 targets, the Department of Home Affairs 21 targets, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism 23 targets, the Land Fund Development Center 21 targets, Lang Son College 20 targets. The Department of Justice is assigned 1 janitorship target.
At the commune level, Dong Kinh ward and Ky Lua ward were assigned 19 targets; Luong Van Tri ward 15 targets; Tam Thanh ward 14 targets.
Some other localities such as Van Quan commune were assigned 7 targets, Binh Gia commune 6 targets, Tan Thanh commune 6 targets, Ba Son, Hoa Tham, Yen Phuc, Tri Le communes each unit 5 targets.
The Provincial People's Committee requests heads of departments, branches, and Chairmen of People's Committees of communes and wards to base on assigned targets to implement the contract support regime, serving in accordance with the provisions of Decree 111/2022/ND-CP.
The assignment of contract targets is to ensure human resources to serve the regular operations of public non-business units, especially necessary support positions but not belonging to the payroll of civil servants and professional public employees.
