On the afternoon of April 24, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lang Son province organized a conference to announce the decisions of the Provincial People's Committee on the establishment of affiliated sub-departments. On this occasion, the Department also announced decisions on personnel work at new units.
Three sub-departments were established including: Sub-Department of Irrigation; Sub-Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection; Sub-Department of Livestock, Veterinary Medicine and Fisheries.
The Sub-Department of Irrigation has the task of advising state management in the fields of irrigation, disaster prevention and control, rural clean water, water resources and hydrometeorology in the province.
The Sub-Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection advises and organizes the implementation of laws on crop production, agricultural crop varieties, agricultural land use, fertilizers, plant protection, domestic plant quarantine, pesticides and public services within the assigned scope.
The Sub-Department of Livestock, Veterinary Medicine and Fisheries advises on specialized state management of livestock, veterinary medicine and aquaculture.
On the same day, the Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment announced decisions to transfer and appoint leaders at three sub-departments.
Ms. Hoang Thi Thu Thuy, Head of Water Resources Management Department, was appointed as Head of the Irrigation Sub-Department.
Ms. Phung Thi Kim Khanh, Head of the Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection, holds the position of Head of the Sub-Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection.
Mr. Duong Doan Doanh, Deputy Head of the Department of Livestock, Fisheries and Veterinary Medicine, holds the position of Deputy Head in charge of the Sub-Department of Livestock, Veterinary Medicine and Fisheries.
The term of appointment of officials is 5 years, from May 1, 2026.
Leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Environment congratulated the officials assigned new tasks, requesting units to soon stabilize their organizations, promote capacity and experience to complete assigned tasks.
