On December 30, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation (LDLD) organized a conference to deploy solutions to stabilize labor relations before, during and after the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year. Mr. Luong Trong Thanh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial LDLD chaired the conference. Attending were representatives of departments, branches, Provincial Police and many businesses and corporations operating in the area.
According to reports at the conference, the implementation of Decree 293/2025/ND-CP on the basic minimum wage has been implemented by the majority of enterprises in coordination with the Trade Union organization. Many units have developed salary plans for 2026, expected salary and Tet bonuses for Binh Ngo 2026; in which, some enterprises, especially in the garment sector, are expected to adjust salary increases from 7–12%. However, there are still 459/850 enterprises with grassroots trade unions that have not completed salary adjustment plans.
The Provincial Labor Federation proposed that businesses develop salary policies in a harmonious and sustainable direction, ensuring compliance with the minimum floor level; and at the same time requested trade unions at all levels to strengthen propaganda and supervision of the implementation of labor laws and coordinate Tet care for workers, especially in difficult cases, through programs such as "Tet Sum vay" (Tet Reunion), giving gifts, and supporting vehicles to return home for Tet.
At the conference, delegates and businesses exchanged views on the implementation of Decree 293, allowance regimes, work to care for workers' lives as well as solutions to ensure security and order at businesses during Tet.
Speaking in conclusion, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation Luong Trong Thanh acknowledged the companionship of the business community in maintaining production, creating jobs and improving the lives of workers. He requested businesses to proactively grasp the situation, flexibly handle arising issues according to the motto "harmonious benefits, shared risks", linking production development with caring for the welfare of workers.
At the same time, continue to pay attention to adjusting the minimum wage, improving regimes and benefits to create motivation to work. Grassroots trade unions are required to strengthen their representative role, taking care of the material and spiritual life of union members and workers.
