Some units not only awarded prizes but also organized seminars for students to share stories and learning experiences. Typically, the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union commended 85 students who are children of officials and employees who won international and national awards in the 2025-2026 school year; in which, the exchange and sharing at the commendation ceremony left many impressions.
There, exemplary students from various fields are brought on stage to talk about their achievements and their dreams for the future.
That is Nguyen Huy Phong, born in 2008, son of Ms. Tran Thi Hoan, an official of Lao Cai Power Company, under the Northern Power Corporation, who won a Bronze Medal at the Asian Informatics Olympiad. Huy Phong told his friends at the commendation ceremony about his passion and persistent efforts in studying, especially in the field of Informatics.
Phong's extremely simple and humble sharing about international achievements as well as being named in the list of exemptions from the high school graduation exam, prioritizing direct admission to university, inspired many friends in the auditorium about his determination to study.
Or like the story of Nguyen Minh Khang - a typical face in the field of school sports with many encouraging achievements in swimming. Minh Khang is the son of Mr. Nguyen Tra Lam Son - Thu Duc Power Company, under Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation. At the seminar, Minh Khang shared with friends the "secrets" to not only maintain excellent student achievements continuously in grades 6, 7 and 8 but also realize his passion for swimming from the age of 5.
With persistent training over many years, Khang has achieved many outstanding achievements such as the Gold Medal of the National Amateur Swimming Championships in 2025, the Bronze Medal of the National Phu Dong Health Festival in 2024, the Gold Medal of the Dong Nai City Swimming Championships in 2023 and especially the National Gold Medal in the 100m breaststroke event...
Telling their stories will multiply the pride as well as the determination to study better of each student. The Vietnam Electricity Trade Union has created opportunities for children of officials, civil servants and public employees to express themselves and become more mature through the seminar. This is a good way to do things, adding to the richness of a commendation ceremony.
