On the evening of February 7, the Trade Union of Vietnam National Industry - Energy Group (PetroVietnam Trade Union) coordinated with the Group to organize the program "PetroVietnam - Spring Connection - Tet Affectionate" in Tam Thang ward, Ho Chi Minh City. Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) attended the program.
In the program, PetroVietnam Group donated 6 billion VND to support the "For the Poor 2026" program to Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai and Tay Ninh. PetroVietnam Group Trade Union donated 3 billion VND to care for workers in difficult circumstances, low income, labor accidents, occupational diseases; donated 1.5 billion VND to support Tet organization for workers to trade unions of difficult units, projects, factories...
According to PetroVietnam Trade Union, not only in Ho Chi Minh City, the program also has many activities to care for Tet for the poor, near-poor people and people in difficult circumstances, policy families of 34 provinces/cities nationwide, with a total budget of more than 125 billion VND.
In addition, many other activities are also aimed at caring for about 60,000 union members and workers of the Group; supporting 1,100 train tickets and car tickets for workers in localities to return to their hometowns for Tet; supporting funding for house repairs for some households affected by natural disasters during the end of 2025 to welcome a happy Binh Ngo Tet...
Speaking at the program, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - said that along with well implementing the "5 an" mission including: energy security, economic security, food security, national defense and security and sea and island sovereignty, social security, PetroVietnam Group also shows its stature and bravery through the 5 most including: largest scale, highest budget contribution, highest consolidated profit, most science and technology awards, the most social security activities (with a realized value of 1,317 billion VND in 2025).
Accompanying the Group, PetroVietnam Trade Union has implemented many practical and creative activities, strongly oriented towards grassroots levels, for union members and workers, especially in caring for Tet for workers, people in difficult circumstances, working far from home... Thereby, contributing to bringing a warmer and more complete Spring to workers; playing an important bridge between workers and businesses.

In 2026, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour believes that PetroVietnam will continue to promote the spirit of innovation and strong digital transformation; lead the trend of green energy transition in the industry; complete strategic goals; strengthen the role of Trade Unions in caring for workers," Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung emphasized.
Previously, PetroVietnam organized the presentation of gifts to 13 wards and communes in Ho Chi Minh City. Each ward and commune received 500 prepared Tet gifts including cash and gift baskets of necessities; or according to specific needs in each locality with a total budget of 6.5 billion VND. Thereby, contributing to spreading the warm Tet atmosphere to poor households, policy families, and people in difficult circumstances.
