Dialogue with understanding
At JIA ZHI Co., Ltd., Mr. Canh always spends a lot of time listening to the thoughts and aspirations of union members and workers (ĐV, NLĐ). For him, each dialogue is not only an opportunity for ĐVs to express their opinions, but also an opportunity for the Trade Union to connect and create consensus between workers and businesses, towards the goal of sustainable development.
According to Mr. Canh, the most important factor for an effective dialogue is respect and goodwill from both sides. "The Trade Union must listen to the thoughts and aspirations of employees, and understand the actual situation of the business. Only when viewing the issue from both sides, analyzing so that businesses can see the benefits of employees and vice versa, will the negotiation be effective" - Mr. Canh shared.
Mr. Canh believes that the Trade Union must not only simply stand on the side of workers or businesses, but must play the role of a bridge, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations.
Currently, JIA ZHI Co., Ltd. has about 6,600 employees. The enterprise has fully implemented regimes and policies according to the provisions of law. Therefore, employees' recommendations mainly focus on improving the working environment and enhancing welfare regimes.
As a relatively new enterprise with a large labor scale, even a small amount of support creates significant cost pressure. Therefore, UMs often make recommendations that are appropriate to the actual conditions, and do not have requirements that exceed the capacity of the enterprise" - Mr. Canh said.
Precisely from that understanding, many collective negotiations have achieved positive results, bringing practical benefits to union members and workers.
Keep faith with responsibility and dedication
Through the negotiation process, the company's grassroots trade union has proposed and included in the collective labor agreement many policies that are more beneficial than general regulations, such as supporting money for raising young children for employees with children under 7 years old, supporting visits when sick, weddings, and many supports related to lunch meals. According to Mr. Canh, each additional regime originates from the actual needs of employees and is considered on the basis of harmonizing interests between the two parties.
To make employees truly trust the Trade Union organization, Mr. Canh said that just propaganda is not enough, but more importantly, actions must be taken with specific actions.
Trade union officials must work with a spirit of serving employees, not for self-interest. Only when employees feel sincerity, will they truly trust and be willing to share with the Trade Union organization" - Mr. Canh emphasized.
Mr. Canh's dedication and responsibility have contributed to building harmonious labor relations, creating a stable environment for workers to feel secure in production and stick with the business.
In 2026, he was commended by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor as a typical outstanding grassroots Trade Union Chairman in collective dialogue and negotiation. This is also recognition of the Trade Union's role in caring for, representing and protecting the rights of workers.
