The DCCI Summit 2025 event organized by Viettel IDC in collaboration with partners on June 26 gathered more than 1,000 attendees, including representatives of leading enterprises, technology experts, prestigious domestic and foreign partners, and a large number of media agencies.
At the event, Mr. Le Ba Tan - Director of Viettel IDC assessed - in the wave of global digital transformation, AI is playing the role of a "new operating brain" of the economy - promoting productivity, reshaping value chains and creating new business models.
"From national strategy to business strategy, the capacity to exploit and apply AI is determining global competitiveness. AI has created a new economy called: World AI Economy. This is no longer a future concept it has clearly defined, is creating value at an unprecedented speed and scale, and is gradually becoming a strategic priority for the government as well as the worlds leading enterprises - Mr. Le Ba Tan emphasized.

According to IDC, the impact of AI on the global economy is estimated to be about 1.150 billion USD in 2024. It is forecasted that by 2030, this figure will be nearly 5 times higher, equivalent to 5,000 billion USD, mainly thanks to increased revenue and cost reduction thanks to automation, data-based decision-making and improved operational efficiency.
This is the reason why experts believe that AI will be the core driving force shaping global economic growth in the next decade. On the other hand, it is the strong increase in the demand for the use and application of AI that has led to a significant increase in the requirements for developing digital infrastructure, including data centers, cloud computing platforms and high-speed connection networks.
At the conference discussion session, experts also emphasized the urgency of integrating green technology solutions into business strategies and sustainable development of businesses. Especially in the context of data center infrastructure and cloud platforms increasingly taking on a key position.
