According to information from the Vietnam Internet Network Information Center (VNNIC) on the afternoon of September 22, the above results were implemented within the framework of the program to promote and support people, businesses and business households to be present online with digital services using the national domain name ".vn" in the period 2026-2030.
The program was approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology in Decision No. 507/QD-BKHCN. In which, the BIZ.VN domain name and accompanying digital services are supported free of charge for business households and newly established businesses within one year.
Bringing domain names to business households
In Da Nang, the program is implemented in the direction of not only issuing domain names but also linking them to websites and actual data of each business household.
Implementing Plan No. 183/KH-UBND dated April 16, 2026 of Da Nang City People's Committee on supporting wholesale and retail stores and business households to digitally transform, the City Department of Science and Technology in coordination with VNNIC put the Digital Map of business households and retail stores into operation at hkd. danang. gov. vn.
According to VNNIC, on the digital map, business establishments are displayed along with store information. This data is connected to the BIZ.VN domain name and each household's own website. This method helps business households to directly see their information online instead of just receiving information about support policies.
The implementation in Da Nang is based on official business household data sources, which are updated regularly to correctly identify subjects and monitor progress. The City Department of Science and Technology coordinates with tax authorities and related units in exploiting and sharing information to serve the program.
Data is then uploaded to the Digital Map developed by VNNIC. Localities can use a common platform instead of having to invest in a new system, while connecting each business point to domain names and websites.
The implementation is organized down to communes and wards. The focal points at the grassroots level receive the needs of business households, support registration and update information to the system. The results are monitored on the Dashboard, through which the management agency can grasp the number of households registered and progress in each area.
I don't know if technology can still manage websites
One of the barriers for business households when digitally transforming is technology skills. Being granted a domain name or website but not knowing how to update content can prevent digital tools from being used regularly.
VNNIC said that the website in the program is integrated with artificial intelligence support tools. Household owners can make requests in common language such as changing store names, adding products, adjusting prices, changing photos or updating phone numbers. The AI system converts these requests into operations on the website, thereby reducing technical skills requirements.
This approach aims to allow business households to manage their websites themselves instead of having to hire people with technical expertise. Social networks and e-commerce platforms can still be used to reach customers, while websites associated with BIZ.VN domain names play the role of online addresses managed by business households.
Business households participating in the program are supported with BIZ.VN domain names, product and service introduction websites and SSL security certificates. Domain name registrants ".vn" participate in providing services and technical support, while VNNIC develops platforms, tools and coordinates implementation.
However, VNNIC believes that the figure of more than 5,000 business households with new websites reflects the initial results of the popularization process. The next stage sets out the requirement to maintain and exploit websites instead of just stopping at registering domain names.
According to the plan, VNNIC, Da Nang City Department of Science and Technology and registrants will continue to complete the registration process, activate and support the use of the website, and expand the program to business households and wholesale and retail stores in the area.
