The latest leaked information shows that Apple may bring many notable changes to the iPhone 18 Pro Max line. If these specifications become reality, this may be one of Apple's biggest upgrades in recent years compared to the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
According to leaked sources from the supply chain and technology analysts, iPhone 18 Pro Max is said to focus strongly on battery, artificial intelligence and camera.
One of the most notable changes lies in the battery. Some sources say that the iPhone 18 Pro Max may be equipped with a battery exceeding 5,000mAh, significantly higher than the previous generation. This means the device may be thicker and heavier than the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
If this information is accurate, Apple seems to be changing its design philosophy by prioritizing usage time instead of chasing thinness as before.
In terms of performance, the iPhone 18 Pro Max is rumored to use the A20 Pro chip manufactured on a 2nm process. Meanwhile, current iPhone models still use a larger process. This may help the device improve performance and save more power, especially with AI tasks on the device.
In the camera segment, leaks show that Apple may strongly upgrade photography capabilities with variable aperture technology and AI features supporting image processing.
If applied, the camera system on the iPhone 18 Pro Max can improve shooting capabilities in many different lighting conditions, while increasing the ability to recognize objects and surrounding environments.
The front design is also said to have changed. Some leaked renderings show that Dynamic Island on iPhone 18 Pro Max may be significantly smaller thanks to Face ID technology placed under the screen. This helps the device get closer to full screen design.
Meanwhile, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is said to still retain its relatively familiar design language.
However, all information is currently at the leak level and Apple has not confirmed any details related to the iPhone 18 line.
Analysts believe that if these changes appear as rumored, Apple may create a clearer gap between the new generation of iPhones and previous models, instead of just minor upgrades like in recent years.
