On the morning of April 4, informing Lao Dong Newspaper, Vietnam Partnership Auction Company (VPA) said that this unit will continue to coordinate with the Ministry of Science and Technology to organize auctions for the right to use telecommunications codes and numbers, including short message application service numbers such as 5151, 6789, 9999 and national 4-digit information answering service numbers such as 1559, 1515.
According to the plan, the auction will be held online, applying the up-pricing method, with a minimum duration of 180 minutes per session. The auction is expected to be held on April 16, 2026.
The starting price is announced at 250 million VND for each number of short message application services and 1 billion VND for each number of information answering services. The pre-order amount is 50 million VND and 200 million VND respectively. The winning bid price does not include value-added tax and taxes, fees, and charges arising according to regulations.
The price step is regulated at 5 million VND for the short message number group and 20 million VND for the information answering service number group. Participants can register online and fully access the auction regulations through the electronic system.
