According to Harvard Health, when you are cungrated enough energy with foods that help the body function well, your mood will also improve.
Researchers point out five different substances that directly affect mood: tryptophan (found in chicken, milk, nuts), magnesium (found in whole grains, legumes), phytonutrient (found in dark chocolate), omega-3 fatty acids (found in fish, nuts) and polyphenols (found in berries, coffee, wine).
Improve gut health

A study published by Nature Metabolism looked at the gut health of 9,000 participants and found that eating a healthy diet is closely linked to a healthy gut microbiome.
Reduces inflammation
Most healthy foods are considered anti-inflammatory, while foods that are not rich in nutrients are said to have the ability to cause inflammation. Harvard Health shows that a diet low in processed foods will help reduce inflammation - a sign closely related to the risk of chronic diseases.

A balanced, healthy diet that is full of macronutrients and micronutrients will support the body's activities.
