On the evening of April 18, at April 16 Square (Dong Hai ward), Khanh Hoa province, the "Vietnamese Ethnic Culture Day" 2026 was opened.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Le Van Hoa, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, emphasized that Khanh Hoa is a land of harmony between mountains and forests and the sea, where many ethnic communities live together, preserve and promote unique traditional cultural values, according to VNA.
Vietnamese Ethnic Culture Day" not only honors, preserves and promotes good traditional cultural values, but also creates a space for exchange, learning, and strengthening understanding and connection between ethnic communities. Thereby, contributing to consolidating the great unity bloc, creating a foundation for stability and sustainable development of the locality.
In recent years, Khanh Hoa has focused on preserving and promoting the cultural values of ethnic groups associated with socio-economic development. Many programs and projects to preserve cultural heritage, develop community tourism, and improve the material and spiritual life of ethnic minorities have been effectively implemented, contributing to preserving identity and promoting local development.
After the opening ceremony, the art performance and costume performance attracted nearly 200 artisans and actors to participate. Performances of singing, dancing, and musical instruments of the Cham, Raglay, Kinh ethnic groups... were introduced. The costume performance had 65 participants, recreating everyday, traditional, festival, and wedding costumes of the Kinh, Cham, Raglay, E De, Tay ethnic groups...
Taking place from April 16-19, "Vietnamese Ethnic Culture Day" 2026 in Khanh Hoa includes many cultural and sports activities, creating a playground for exchange, showing the talents and pride of ethnic minorities; and at the same time spreading good cultural values, raising awareness of preserving and promoting heritage in the period of integration and development.
The event is also a practical activity to celebrate the success of the 14th National Party Congress; the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term; and at the same time concretize the implementation of Resolution No. 80-NQ/TW of the Politburo on developing Vietnamese culture in the new period, commemorating the 51st anniversary of the liberation of Khanh Hoa province and the 51st anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification.
