On September 27, the leader of Krong No commune (Lam Dong province) said that since the beginning of the year, the People's Committee of the commune has established a Management Board for National Target Programs, perfected the departments in villages, hamlets, and hamlets, developed operating regulations and conducted a review and assessment of the current status of rural areas.
The commune also receives, manages and organizes the implementation of programs and projects from communes before the merger, ensuring progress and planned targets.
To ensure the implementation process is not interrupted, the People's Committee of the commune has done a good job of handing over capital sources, project documents, and organizing handover on site.
Krong No commune also directed contractors and construction teams to speed up the progress, especially school projects to serve the opening of the new school year.
In 2025, the whole commune will implement the construction of 18 new rural construction items, focusing on investment in school and traffic criteria, with a total investment of more than 13 billion VND.
Along with that, the commune effectively integrates poverty reduction programs and socio-economic development in ethnic minority areas. Thanks to that, in just the first 9 months of the year, the commune has supported the demolition of 60 temporarily dilapidated houses, the remaining 6 houses are still under construction.
The education sector has had many positive changes. The commune has merged 2 schools, reducing the total number of schools from 13 to 11. The commune also mobilizes 100% of 6-year-old children to grade 1, 100% of primary schools teach 2 sessions/day.
In the field of health, Tan Thanh Commune Health Station has received 6,710 visits. Disease prevention work is maintained regularly, preventing outbreaks.
Along with that, the political system was consolidated, ensuring the apparatus operated smoothly after the merger, serving people and businesses well.
The commune has organized the registration of young people aged 17, established departments and councils to prepare for military recruitment, while maintaining patrols and controls, maintaining security and order, especially during major holidays.
The review results have so far shown that Krong No commune has met 17/19 new rural criteria. The two criteria that have not been met are Schools (only 7/11 schools have met the standards, reaching 63.6% of the requirements over 70%) and Health (the rate of health insurance participation is about 80%, while the set of criteria requires 90%)...
With the achieved results, and the high determination of the entire political system, Krong No commune is striving to complete the remaining criteria, striving to meet new rural standards in the coming time.
