To date, the whole Soc Trang province has started construction of 7,883/8,917 houses (88.4%). Of which, 6,979 houses have been completed (78.27%). There are 3 district-level units that have completed the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, namely My Xuyen and My Tu, Nga Nam town.
Soc Trang province has also completed housing support for people with revolutionary contributions and their relatives before April 30, 2025. At the same time, the housing support program for ethnic minorities from the National Target Program for Socio-Economic Development of Ethnic Minority Areas has also been completed before the traditional Lunar New Year of Chol Chanh Thmay, helping people celebrate a warm and meaningful New Year.
Soc Trang province has also mobilized significant resources from the community. To date, the total amount of contributions from organizations and individuals inside and outside the province has been over 269 billion VND, contributing significantly to speeding up the progress of the Program.
According to the plan, Soc Trang province is determined to complete the entire Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses by June 2025, 3 months earlier than the original plan.
