Accordingly, clearly recognizing the significance and importance of the Program to join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, in recent times, the Coast Guard Region 4 Command has proactively done a good job of coordinating with local Party committees and authorities in the area to effectively implement the program.
Practical actions have contributed to helping households with difficult housing circumstances have new, solid houses to stabilize their long-term lives.
It is known that Mr. Nguyen Van nau's family is one of the disadvantaged households in An Thoi ward (Kien Giang province).
He and the woman themselves are in poor health, are lonely elderly and have no children; living in a cramped, leaky, and seriously degraded level 4 house that does not ensure sun cover, rain cover, and is unsafe, especially during the rainy and stormy season.
In that situation, the Coast Guard Region 4 Command mobilized more than 40 officers, youth union members, and women's union members to coordinate with the An Thoi Ward Youth Union to support Mr. nau's family in building a new house.
Notably, Mr. nau's family's house is in a small alley, far from the main road, and the transportation of construction materials is difficult, so officers, union members, and members of the Coast Guard Region 4 Command have supported the transportation of about 8,000 bricks, 40 bags of cement, 6 blocks of sand, stone, and other necessary materials to prepare for construction.
In the next time, the Coast Guard Region 4 Command will coordinate with An Thoi Ward to continue to join hands to help and support Mr. nau's family to build and complete the house as planned.
This meaningful activity has contributed to demonstrating the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers - Coast Guard soldiers, and at the same time practically achieved success to celebrate the 6th Regional Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.
In the coming time, officers and soldiers of the Coast Guard Region 4 Command are determined to compete and closely coordinate with local Party committees and authorities to contribute and speed up the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide in 2025 to reach the finish line early, contributing to firmly strengthening the solidarity relationship, closely attaching the army and people, firmly protecting sovereignty, security, safety of seas and islands of the Fatherland.
