On July 5, the Party Committee of the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard Command said that the unit had just held a conference to evaluate the leadership results, implement the merger of local military organizations and orient tasks in the coming time.
After the arrangement, the Dak Lak and Phu Yen Border Guard Commands were reorganized into the Border Guard Command under the Dak Lak Provincial Military Command. The organizational structure includes 1 Command Committee agency and 16 affiliated agencies and units.
The Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard Command is performing the task of managing and protecting more than 70km of the land border bordering Mondulkiri province (Cambodia), along with a sea border of more than 93km and a coastline of 189km.
At the conference, delegates proposed many solutions to improve work efficiency in the next phase.
The Party Committee of the Steering Committee determined to continue to synchronously deploy measures to manage and protect the border and area after the merger.
The unit will closely coordinate with functional forces to maintain political security in the border area; organize peak periods to attack and suppress crimes, especially drug crimes.
Along with that, the border guards will increase information exchanges with the functional forces of Mondulkiri province to detect and prevent illegal entry and exit activities.
Units continue to promote administrative reform, associated with digital transformation and the application of information technology in border gate management, facilitating immigration and customs clearance activities.
