The Border Guard Command of Hai Phong City has just organized a training activity to improve the quality of political education, ideological management, maintain discipline, and ensure safety; and at the same time deploy a political activity to fight and prevent manifestations of degradation in political ideology, morality, lifestyle, "self-evolution", "self-transformation" and rectify deviant behaviors, according to Hai Phong e-Portal.
The activity was organized to concretize Directive No. 76/CT-BQP dated April 28, 2026 of the Minister of National Defense and the direction of the Border Guard Command. Colonel Pham Hong Phong - Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of Hai Phong City Border Guard Command chaired the conference.
At the conference, delegates were thoroughly grasped of the documents of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, the Party Committee and the Border Guard Command, along with local directions on strengthening political education, ideological management, maintaining discipline, ensuring safety and fighting against manifestations of degradation. The conference also assessed the current situation, clarified the causes and drew lessons learned in leadership, direction and organization of implementation.
In recent years, Hai Phong City Border Guard has seriously implemented directives and resolutions of superiors; maintained a disciplined political education, disseminated laws; proactively grasped, assessed, and forecasted the ideological situation of soldiers. The work of building regularity, managing discipline, managing troop numbers, weapons and equipment has been carried out strictly.
With a frank and serious spirit, delegates focused on pointing out the remaining limitations, and at the same time proposed many solutions to improve the quality of political education, ideological management, maintain discipline, ensure safety and prevent manifestations of degradation, "self-evolution", and "self-transformation".
Speaking to direct, Colonel Pham Hong Phong emphasized that the requirements for border guard work in the coming time are increasingly high, and professional procedures are increasingly strict. He requested Party committees and commanders at all levels to continue to strictly grasp Directive No. 76/CT-BQP; promote the responsibility of heads; identify political education, ideological management, maintaining discipline and ensuring safety as key tasks, and at the same time as important criteria in evaluating Party organizations, party members, cadres and emulation and commendation work.
Agencies and units need to continue to innovate political education work; strengthen grasping and forecasting the ideology of soldiers; strictly manage social relationships, conditions and circumstances of each officer and soldier to proactively prevent early. Along with that, promote democracy at the grassroots level, improve the effectiveness of cultural institutions, promote cultural, artistic, and sports activities; strictly manage soldiers, weapons, equipment and means, especially on holidays, Tet.
The Border Guard Command of Hai Phong City also requested to strengthen internal political protection, promote inspection and supervision to promptly detect and strictly handle violations of discipline, law and violations in performing tasks.
This training activity is identified as an opportunity for agencies and units to clearly recognize shortcomings and defects, thereby proposing solutions to overcome them, contributing to building a clean and strong Party organization, a comprehensively strong unit "Exemplary and typical", meeting the requirements of protecting sovereignty, security of sea and island borders and port border gates of Hai Phong City in the new situation.
