On April 6, the Border Guard Command of Hue City organized patrols, inspections, protection of sovereignty and prevention and combat of illegal fishing in the sea area under management.
Starting from Hai Doi 2 wharf (Thuan An ward), the patrol boat squadron performs missions in the inland waters of Hue City and the border area with Quang Tri province and Da Nang City.
The force focuses on inspecting and controlling the operation of vehicles at sea; promptly detecting and handling illegally infringing foreign vessels; fighting against violations, especially illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing.
At the same time, the delegation promoted propaganda and mobilized fishermen to comply with the law, reach out to sea and stick to the sea, contributing to protecting sea and island sovereignty.
Over the past time, the Hue City Border Guard Command has coordinated with local authorities and functional forces to strengthen propaganda, requesting ship owners and captains to sign commitments not to violate IUU, contributing to raising fishermen's awareness, towards removing the yellow card for seafood.
