On March 14, the Steering Committee for the implementation of "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses" of Chau Thanh district (Dong Thap province) held a groundbreaking ceremony for "eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses" in the district in 2025.
According to the report of the Steering Committee for "eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses" of Chau Thanh district, in the period of 2021 - 2024, the whole district has supported the construction and repair of 411 solidarity houses, charity houses, and gratitude houses.
However, through a review in the district, there are currently 114 poor and near-poor households facing housing difficulties, needing support to build new houses and repair them. This is a goal that the district will achieve in 2025 with the determination of the entire political system and the joint efforts of social resources.
At the ceremony, sponsors and benefactors inside and outside the district presented symbolic boards to support 3.1 billion VND to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the district in 2025.
After the ceremony, the organizing committee performed the groundbreaking ceremony for 2 houses for Ms. Tran Thi Bich Hanh and Mr. Tran Van Dua in An Loi hamlet, An Khanh commune, whose houses were dilapidated and degraded.
