On May 9, according to PV's records, Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee has just completed the classification of commune-level administrative units in the province after arrangement.
This is considered an important basis for consolidating the organizational structure and applying management policies suitable to the actual conditions of each locality.
According to the decision, the whole province has 56 classified commune-level administrative units, including 53 communes and 3 wards.
The assessment is based on many criteria such as population size, natural area, socio-economic development level and local characteristics.
The results show that the whole province has 10 units ranked I, including 7 communes and 3 wards. Among them, Thuc Phan ward ranks first in the whole province with 101.6 points and a population of more than 45,700 people. Some other localities with high scores include Tan Giang ward, Trung Khanh commune and Quang Uyen commune.
In addition, the remaining 46 units are ranked II.
21 border communes include: Coc Pang, Phuc Hoa, Trung Khanh, Truong Ha, Be Van Dan, Can Yen, Co Ba, Dam Thuy, Dinh Phong, Duc Long, Ha Lang, Khanh Xuan, Lung Nam, Ly Quoc, Quang Han, Quang Long, Quang Trung, Tong Cot, Tra Linh, Vinh Quy and Xuan Truong.
Notably, Cao Bang province does not have any commune-level administrative unit ranked III.
The classification of administrative units will be the basis for determining staff quotas, policies and allocating investment resources, contributing to promoting socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security in localities in the province.
