On March 22, Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung - Head of Transport Management, Vehicles and Traffic Safety Department of Ha Tinh Department of Construction said that the Department of Construction is planning to organize a bidding to select a unit with sufficient capacity to provide public passenger transport service products by bus.
According to Mr. Dung, currently, the network of public passenger transport routes by inter-provincial and inter-provincial buses in Ha Tinh includes 13 routes, of which 7 routes are in operation and 6 routes are not yet in operation.
7 bus routes are operating in the form of socialization implemented by 2 units, Tho Lam Transport Joint Stock Company and Ha Tinh Automobile Transport Joint Stock Company.
However, to date, 5 route exploitation contracts of Ha Tinh Automobile Transport Joint Stock Company and Tho Lam Transport Joint Stock Company have expired.
In which, Ha Tinh Automobile Transport Joint Stock Company includes routes: Ha Tinh - La Khe; Ha Tinh - Tay Son; Ha Tinh - Vinh station; Ha Tinh - Loc Ha - Vinh. Tho Lam Transport Joint Stock Company has the Huong Son - Vinh route.
The continued organization of exploitation of the above routes is currently being implemented in the form of temporary assignment of tasks, based on the policy of the Provincial People's Committee and contracts signed by the Department of Construction with the unit.
The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Ha Tinh Department of Construction to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies and units to organize bidding to select units to operate bus routes in the province, ensuring publicity, transparency, competitiveness, efficiency and fully complying with the order, procedures, and conditions in accordance with the law.
This bidding activity is expected to be one of the solutions to improve the quality of public passenger transport services by bus in Ha Tinh," Mr. Dung shared.
