Cao Bang accelerates the construction of 11 schools in the border area, with a total capital of nearly 1,518 billion VND, striving to complete before the 2026 - 2027 school year.

Cao Bang province is urgently deploying the construction of 11 schools in border communes, with the goal of completion in 2026. The projects are expected to improve learning conditions for highland students, contributing to improving the quality of human resources and strengthening national defense and security in border areas, according to VNA.

At the construction site of Dam Thuy Inter-level Primary and Secondary Boarding School, Bac Ninh Co., Ltd. mobilized nearly 100 workers and many machines to continuously construct. Up to now, ground leveling has reached about 80%; classroom block items have completed the foundation; functional areas and kitchens are being dug.

Project commander Ta Huu Doai said that the unit uses 10 excavators to serve ground leveling and foundation excavation, and at the same time arranges 6 construction teams to accelerate progress. The contractor prioritizes deploying classrooms and administration buildings, organizing evening overtime, working all day off to complete important items before the 2026 - 2027 school year, aiming to hand over before the opening time.

In Quang Trung commune, the inter-level boarding school project is under construction of foundation and rough construction. Workers are taking advantage of favorable weather to speed up progress. Contractors proactively implement support regimes, creating conditions for workers to feel secure in working, maintaining continuous construction pace.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan, a worker at Ha Bo Construction Company, shared: "The work here is done continuously according to the construction progress, on favorable weather days, the brothers take advantage to make up for it. Equipment and machinery have been mobilized, divided into continuous shifts to ensure progress.

11 inter-level boarding school projects in border communes including Ha Lang, Tra Linh, Dinh Phong, Truong Ha, Duc Long, Dam Thuy, Lung Nam, Quang Han, Quang Trung, Tong Cot, Phuc Hoa have a total investment of nearly 1,518 billion VND. To date, 100% of projects have completed feasibility study report dossiers; have construction drawing designs for ground leveling, foundation and body items; the remaining items are continuing to be completed.

Projects are being implemented simultaneously: 2 projects in Tra Linh and Ha Lang communes are progressing well; 3 projects Dam Thuy, Quang Trung, Truong Ha meet part of the progress; the remaining 6 projects are in the ground leveling and foundation construction phase.

Director of the Investment and Construction Project Management Board of Cao Bang province Nguyen Huy Hoang said that the unit has directed contractors to proactively remove difficulties, coordinate with departments, branches, and localities to handle problems with ground, materials, procedures and design; and at the same time propose appropriate mechanisms to facilitate implementation, requiring construction units to ensure quality, technical and labor safety.

New schools are expected to help students, especially children of ethnic minorities, have better learning conditions, contributing to narrowing the gap in access to education and promoting sustainable development in the locality.
