Cao Bang receives more than 64.11 billion VND for the "For the Poor" Fund

The "For the Poor" Fund of Cao Bang province received more than 64.11 billion VND, allocated over 57.809 billion VND to support the poor and disadvantaged people.

According to the Cao Bang Provincial e-Portal, in the first 6 months of 2026, the "For the Poor" Fund of Cao Bang province received more than 64.11 billion VND from agencies, units, businesses, organizations and individuals inside and outside the province to support social security work.

From this funding source, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province has allocated over 57.809 billion VND to support the poor, near-poor households and people in difficult circumstances.

Resources are prioritized for the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. In which, supporting the construction of 450 houses in 53 communes with a total budget of 36 billion VND from the Ministry of National Defense; supplementing 3 billion VND from the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank, and at the same time mobilizing additional resources from Thai Hung Trading Joint Stock Company, Vietnam Gas Company and other sponsors to build Great Solidarity houses.

Previously, on the occasion of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cao Bang province mobilized over 22.8 billion VND to take care of Tet for the people. From the Central "For the Poor" Fund with the companionship of businesses, banks, economic groups and philanthropists, 32,898 gifts were given to poor households, near-poor households, policy families, social protection beneficiaries, inpatients, students in difficult circumstances and grassroots forces, with a total budget of 16.98 billion VND.

In addition, the "For the Poor" Fund of Cao Bang province allocated 1 billion VND to support 20 communes in performing regular tasks; donated 295 gifts to elderly people in difficult circumstances to celebrate the 85th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Elderly in Vietnam; supported poor students, students from near-poor households and 5 students in particularly difficult circumstances through the "Wings of Dreams" column.

In disaster relief work, the Provincial Relief Fund received 2.22 billion VND and has allocated 880 million VND to support households whose houses were collapsed, fallen, swept away by floods, and at the same time overcome damaged civil works.

The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province also coordinated to implement many social security programs such as the "Viet Hung - Cao Bang Loving Bridge" program worth 410 million VND; giving 400 gifts to poor and near-poor households in Thanh Cong and Son Lo communes; donating 125 boxes of milk to students in difficult circumstances in Ca Thanh, Thanh Cong communes and the Provincial Social Protection Center.

The mobilization, management and effective use of the "For the Poor" Fund and the Provincial Relief Fund has contributed to taking care of people's lives, supporting vulnerable groups, improving the effectiveness of social security work and consolidating the great national unity bloc in the province.
