In the period 2020 - 2025, Cao Bang province synchronously implements policies to support job creation, develop the labor market and connect labor supply and demand, contributing to improving income for people, especially workers in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, according to the Cao Bang Provincial e-Portal.
According to the People's Committee of Cao Bang province, propaganda, counseling, job introduction, loan support and sending workers to work abroad under contracts are carried out regularly.
The network of vocational education institutions is arranged in a streamlined direction, vocational training is linked to people's production and livelihood conditions, gradually improving the quality of human resources.
In this period, the whole province has advised and supported job creation for 56,561 people; supported loans to create jobs for more than 51,411 people with a total capital of over 4,839 billion VND to work domestically and abroad under contracts. The rate of trained workers having new jobs or continuing to do old jobs with higher productivity and income reached over 80%.
To expand job opportunities abroad, the province organized 76 training conferences for officials and propagandists; career counseling and vocational education for 8,045 people; supported Korean language training for 21 workers and direct support for 14 workers.
Along with that, Cao Bang organized 16 job fairs, 72 career orientation conferences at high schools with nearly 14,000 participants; community counseling for 7,770 people. The province also organized 20 career orientation conferences for 12th grade students, compiled 2 new elementary-level training programs and opened a pedagogical professional development class for 30 students.
Vocational training continues to be focused on. Nearly 96,700 workers, equivalent to 50% of workers of working age in ethnic minority and mountainous areas are trained in vocational skills. Vocational education institutions enroll and train 28,472 people; more than 12,000 workers are supported with vocational training funds from national target programs.
In addition, Cao Bang College is invested in a modern direction and implements a three-party cooperation model between the school, training institutions outside the province and businesses to improve training quality and meet the needs of the labor market. Seven vocational education institutions in the area have also been repaired and upgraded facilities to serve training.
