Ancient pagoda in Cua Lo approved for restoration of more than 31 billion VND

Nghe An - The project to repair and restore the Song Ngu Pagoda historical relic in Cua Lo ward has been approved with a total capital of more than 31 billion VND from socialization sources.

On April 3, the People's Committee of Nghe An province issued Decision No. 1284/QD-UBND approving the project to repair and restore the Song Ngu Pagoda historical relic, Cua Lo ward.

The project belongs to group C, civil works level III, invested by Cua Lo Ward People's Committee. The total investment is more than 31 billion VND, of which 100% of capital is mobilized from socialization, sponsored by Thien Tam Fund - Vingroup Group.

The project implementation period is 3 years from the time it meets the conditions for commencement.

According to the decision, the project aims to repair, restore and rebuild items according to the 1/500 detailed plan that was approved earlier. The overall orientation is to maintain the original location of the main structure - the Tam Bao tower, while preserving the original elements such as ancient wells, stone steles, two sandstone trees and ancient Bodhi tree.

In the restoration item group, the project will repair the four-pillar gate, the ceremonial house and especially the Tam Bao tower with an area of 177 m2. In addition, works such as the ancestral temple, the monk's house, and the kitchen - tray road area will also be restored.

For the new construction item, the project will build a three-entrance gate, Mother Goddess worshiping house, Quan An Sat - Sat Hai Dai Vuong Hoang Ta Thon temple, a reception house of about 190 m2 and a gold-burning shrine.

The landscape space of the relic area is supplemented with a series of 18 white stone statues of the La Han, along with a system of green trees, rest huts and internal roads.

Notably, the Tam Bao tower, which is currently cracked and tilted due to the impact of natural disasters and storms No. 5 and 10, will be completely dismantled for restoration. The design plan is to rebuild the foundation and walls with chi bricks, combined with reinforced concrete, and at the same time expand the space of the upper hall.

The People's Committee of Nghe An province assigned the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Finance, and Construction to coordinate and guide the investor to implement the project in accordance with regulations.

At the same time, requesting the People's Committee of Cua Lo ward and related units to strictly implement the contents that have been appraised, ensuring the effective use of capital sources, avoiding losses and waste.
