The Internal Security Department of Ca Mau Provincial Police promotes mass mobilization work, consolidates the trust of Khmer people, and contributes to maintaining security and order.

After arranging administrative units and organizing two-level local government, Ca Mau province has about 157,000 ethnic minorities, accounting for more than 5% of the population; of which Khmer people have over 126,000 people, living concentrated in many communes and wards.

This is also an area where hostile and reactionary forces often take advantage of ethnic and religious issues to distort and divide the great national unity bloc, according to the E-Portal of Ca Mau Provincial Police.

From that reality, the Internal Security Department of Ca Mau Provincial Police identified mass mobilization as a key task to consolidate the people's trust in the Party, State and police force, contributing to maintaining security and order from the grassroots level.

With the motto "close to the people, understanding the people, respecting the people and serving the people", officers and soldiers regularly stick to the area, meet people, listen to their thoughts and aspirations, and guide commune-level police to effectively implement mass mobilization work.

From the beginning of 2026 to now, the unit has organized more than 250 turns of officials to directly go to the grassroots level, promptly grasp the situation and solve arising problems.

The unit also coordinates with local Party committees and authorities to build and maintain many self-management models on security and order in Khmer ethnic minority areas such as "Self-managed clan groups", "3 positive clubs", "Ethnic minority areas actively self-defending and self-managing security and order". Thereby, promoting the role of prestigious people, religious dignitaries and the masses in ensuring security and order.

In parallel with propaganda and dissemination of laws, the Internal Security Department also coordinates to organize social security activities, visit and give gifts to policy families, poor households, near-poor households and people with prestige among Khmer people, contributing to strengthening the connection between the police force and the people.

The achieved results have raised the awareness and sense of law compliance of the Khmer people, encouraging people to actively participate in the all-people movement to protect national security, contributing to maintaining local stability.
