To celebrate the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2026) and International Labor Day (May 1), on May 1st, a delegation from An Giang Provincial Police led by Major General Nguyen Van Han - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police - visited Doc Ba Dac Martyrs' Cemetery (Thoi Thuan hamlet, Thoi Son ward), offered flowers and incense to commemorate heroic martyrs.

Participating in the delegation were Colonel Tran Van Cung, and Colonel Nguyen Nhat Truong - Deputy Director of the Provincial Police; leaders of professional departments and youth union members of the Provincial Police; the Command Board and ward police officers; forces participating in ensuring security and order at the grassroots level, militia and self-defense forces and ward youth unions.

In a solemn atmosphere, Major General Nguyen Van Han - Director of the Provincial Police - and members of the working delegation observed a minute of silence, expressing their respect and deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed for the cause of national liberation and reunification. Doc Ba Dac Martyrs' Cemetery currently has more than 9,000 graves of martyrs who sacrificed in the resistance wars. Most of them are Vietnamese volunteer soldiers who fell in the war to protect the Southwest border and the war against the Pol Pot genocidal regime.

The noble sacrifice of heroic martyrs is a bright symbol of revolutionism, blood has permeated the hearts of mother earth, embellishing peace and independence for the country to become immortal in the hearts of the nation.
Before the spirits of the heroic martyrs, An Giang Provincial Police promise to continue to follow the bright revolutionary example of the predecessors, strive to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style, follow Uncle Ho's Six Teachings; wholeheartedly and wholeheartedly serve the Fatherland, serve the People; be ready to fight and sacrifice for the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland, protecting the Party, and protecting the socialist regime.

At the same time, maintaining the peaceful and happy life of the people, firmly protecting the revolutionary achievements that generations of heroic martyrs have sacrificed to regain independence for the nation, contributing to building An Giang homeland to become increasingly developed, rich and beautiful, worthy of the great sacrifices of heroic martyrs.
According to Major General Nguyen Van Han, this is a widespread political activity to educate tradition, remind generations of police officers and soldiers throughout the province about the responsibility to follow in their fathers and brothers' footsteps; cultivate the spirit of courage, selflessness for the country in the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland.

On this occasion, the Director of the Provincial Police presented 10 gifts to forces participating in ensuring security and order at the grassroots level in Thoi Son ward with difficult circumstances; presented 02 gifts to the militia and self-defense forces and the ward delegation.
This concern and support has promptly encouraged and shared immediate difficulties so that members of the grassroots security and order protection force can feel secure in their lives and continue to contribute to the Thoi Son Ward Police in ensuring security and order in the locality.
