On the occasion of the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2026), on the morning of April 29, Dong Thap province established 2 working groups led by leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and leaders of departments, branches and localities to visit and offer incense at the Provincial Martyrs' Cemetery located in My Tra and Trung An wards.

The working delegation was led by Mr. Ngo Chi Cuong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council. Also participating were Mr. Phan Van Thang - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Tuyen - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee; Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Thien - Provincial Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with leaders of departments, branches and localities, leaders of relevant agencies and units, who visited the Provincial Martyrs' Cemetery (My Tra ward).

In a solemn atmosphere, provincial leaders laid wreaths, offered incense and observed a minute of silence in front of the Monument to the Fatherland, expressing their sincere respect and deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs who bravely sacrificed for the cause of national liberation and reunification. After the flower and incense offering ceremony, delegates went to each martyr's grave to burn incense to commemorate.
The Martyrs' Cemetery in My Tra ward is currently the resting place of more than 3,100 martyrs who sacrificed in the resistance wars against France and the US for national salvation.

At the same time, at the Martyrs' Cemetery in Trung An ward, the delegation was led by Mr. Nguyen Van Muoi - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Pham Thanh Ngai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Tran Van Dung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with leaders of departments, agencies, branches, unions and armed forces of the province.
In a sacred atmosphere, delegates respectfully offered flowers and incense in front of the Monument to the Fatherland, commemorating the great contributions of heroic martyrs who dedicated their lives to the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
Before the spirits of the heroic martyrs, the Party Committee, government and people of Dong Thap vowed to continue to promote the glorious revolutionary tradition; unite, join forces, and unite to overcome difficulties and challenges; maintain and promote revolutionary achievements, determined to build Dong Thap homeland to become increasingly developed, prosperous and happy.
