Commune police in Lao Cai install 50 warning signs for landslides and flooding

Lao Cai - Faced with the risk of heavy rain causing landslides and flooding, Tan Hop Commune Police reviewed key areas and planted 50 dangerous warning signs.

On August 26, Lao Cai Provincial Police said that Tan Hop Commune Police had just deployed a review and planted 50 warning signs in areas at risk of landslides and flooding.

The operation was carried out from August 23 to 25, 2026, in the context of complicated weather diễn biến, the risk of heavy rain causing unsafety in some areas.

Through review, the police force identified many locations with risk of landslides, rocks and flooding when it rains heavily.

The commune police continue to monitor weather developments, inspect key areas and proactively detect points at risk of unsafety.

The force also coordinated with local authorities and relevant units to deploy appropriate response plans.

In the coming time, areas at risk of landslides and flooding will be regularly inspected, especially when prolonged heavy rain occurs.

Forces and vehicles are also prepared to be ready to participate in rescue and relief and support people when situations occur.

Tan Hop Commune Police recommends that people regularly monitor weather forecasts and warnings.

When it rains heavily, people need to limit going through areas that have been planted with warning signs, high slopes, streams and undercurrents.

Absolutely do not intentionally pass through places with strong currents, deep flooding or areas with signs of landslides and rockfalls.

When detecting a risk of unsafety, people need to quickly move to a safe place and notify the local authorities or the police force.
