On May 27, Lao Cai Provincial Police said that Bao Thang Commune Police are implementing a model of "going to each alley, pasting each house", bringing hotline phone numbers for drug prevention and control to each household in the area.

Accordingly, the Commune Police force coordinates with grassroots security teams, village heads, and residential groups to directly go to each family to paste propaganda banners with phone numbers to receive reports related to drug crimes.
At the same time, officers and soldiers also propagate and guide people to raise vigilance and proactively provide information to functional forces when suspicious signs are detected.
Up to now, 100% of households in the commune have been affixed with hotline signs for drug prevention and control.
After more than 2 months of implementing Resolution 51 associated with this model, the security and order situation in Bao Thang commune has had many positive changes.
The commune police discovered and arrested 6 cases with 8 subjects related to drugs; seized 9.539 grams of heroin, 11.8249 grams of pink pills and 9.938 grams of black opium along with many related documents.
At the same time, functional forces also made records to send 3 subjects to compulsory detoxification according to regulations.
Initial results show practical effectiveness from the "going through every alley, pasting each house" model in drug prevention and control at the grassroots level.

Bringing hotline phone numbers to each household not only helps raise vigilance, but also promotes the role of the people in detecting and denouncing crimes, contributing to maintaining security and order and building safe and drug-free areas.
According to Bao Thang Commune Police, in the coming time, the unit will continue to maintain and replicate the model, combining many forms of propaganda to improve the effectiveness of drug prevention and control right from the grassroots level.
