On April 24, in An Giang province, Brigade 127 (Command of Naval Region 5) and Brigade 962 (Military Region 9) held a Conference to sign coordination agreements for the 2026-2030 period. Attending the conference were Deputy Admiral Nguyen An Phong, Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of the Navy; Lieutenant General Ho Van Thai, Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of Military Region 9.
At the conference, representatives of Brigade 962 reported on the draft regulations and coordination plan for the period 2026-2030 between Brigade 127 and Brigade 962; and clarified some key contents in the coordination plan for 2026.
Accordingly, coordination activities between the two units focus on the fields of: military staff; Party work, political work and logistics and technical work.
In the field of military advice, the two units coordinate to exchange experiences in training, combat readiness, handling defense and security situations on islands and mainland; regularly exchange information about the local situation, especially new and non-traditional factors and complex developments that may affect the tasks of each unit; and coordinate combat when situations occur.
In the field of logistics and technology, the two units focused on exchanging experiences in ensuring logistics for training, combat readiness, long-term mobility tasks; coordinating disease prevention and control, taking care of soldiers' health; ensuring logistics and technology in training, exercises, patrols, reconnaissance, search and rescue; managing, exploiting, preserving weapons, equipment and fire prevention and fighting.
Along with that, the two units coordinate to organize cultural, artistic, and sports exchange activities on major holidays and traditional days of the unit, contributing to strengthening solidarity and attachment, creating a vibrant emulation atmosphere, encouraging and motivating officers and soldiers to successfully complete assigned tasks.
Speaking to direct, Lieutenant General Ho Van Thai - Political Commissar of Military Region 9 acknowledged and praised the coordination in organizing conferences of Brigade 127 and Brigade 962. At the same time, he emphasized that the signing of the coordination program of activities between the two units is of practical significance, is the basis for building a united, close relationship, supporting each other in work, thereby improving the quality of task performance of each unit.
Comrade Political Commissar of Military Region 9 noted that the Party Committee and commanders of Brigades 127 and 962 thoroughly grasped and seriously implemented the signed contents; developed specific and practical coordination plans, suitable to the functions and tasks of each unit; regularly exchanged information, closely coordinated in organization and implementation, ensuring practicality and effectiveness, contributing to the successful completion of assigned political tasks.
At the conference, Brigade 127 and Brigade 962 signed a plan and coordination program for the period 2026 - 2030, marking the starting point in establishing a coordination mechanism between the two units, creating a basis for effectively implementing activities in the coming time.
Within the framework of the program, delegates visited the Traditional House of Brigade 962, learned about the construction, combat and growth process of the unit.
