Simultaneously sending bells and drums to celebrate Dong Nai becoming a centrally-run city

The Buddhist Management Board of Dong Nai province proposed that the pagodas simultaneously set off bells and drums, chant sutras to pray for peace to welcome the province to become a centrally-run city.

The Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Dong Nai province has just issued a document requesting monks and nuns who are abbots of pagodas and religious establishments throughout the province to simultaneously perform three bells, Bat Nha drums, chant sutras and organize peace prayer ceremonies on the morning of April 30, 2026.

Accordingly, in the common joy of the Party Committee, government and people of the province, on April 30, 2026, Dong Nai was officially recognized as a city directly under the Central Government. This is an important milestone, opening a new stage of economic, cultural and social development of the locality.

In order to show the spirit of accompanying the nation, promoting the tradition of protecting the nation and people of Vietnamese Buddhism, the Provincial Executive Committee proposed that monks and nuns organize three bells, Bat Nha drums, and chant sutras to pray for peace, contributing to arousing the strength of solidarity, towards national peace and prosperity, and a prosperous country.

The ceremony time is set at 6 am on April 30, 2026 at pagodas throughout the province.

The Buddhist Board of Directors of Dong Nai province emphasized that the unwavering prayers of monks, nuns, and Buddhist compatriots will contribute to spreading peaceful energy, consolidating the spirit of solidarity and sustainable development. At the same time, it is proposed that pagoda establishments seriously implement and organize solemn rituals in accordance with the Buddhist spirit.
