On April 15, the People's Committee of Dak Nong province issued a project to support housing for people with meritorious services to the revolution and relatives of martyrs in the province.
According to the review results, many households are facing extremely difficult circumstances, living in temporary, damaged, dilapidated houses, at risk of collapse and incapable of improving housing conditions.
Reports from People's Committees of districts and Gia Nghia city said that the whole province currently has 117 cases of people with meritorious services to the revolution that needs housing support. In particular, 33 cases need to be built and 84 cases need to be repaired.
The project aims to promote the movement "Gratitude", "Drink water to remember the source"; contribute to poverty reduction, stabilize life and improve housing conditions for people with meritorious services and relatives of martyrs.
As a rule, after being supported, housing must ensure the minimum use area of 30m², meet the criteria "3 hard" (foundation, wall frame, roof) and have a life expectancy of 20 years or more.
The support level for new construction houses is VND 70 million/household (including VND 60 million from the central budget and VND 10 million from the local budget).
For repair houses, the support level is VND 40 million/household (VND 30 million from the central level, 10 million VND from the locality).
The total cost of implementing the project is 5.67 billion dong, of which the central budget supports 4.5 billion dong, the rest is arranged from the provincial budget and other legal capital sources.
