On the evening of March 5, the Hanoi City Labor Federation organized a ceremony to honor typical advanced examples in the emulation movement "Good at public work, Good at housework" in 2024, and a special art program to honor outstanding female cadres and union members of the Capital's Trade Union in 2025.
One of the 4 individuals commended and rewarded by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor is Ms. Nguyen Thuy Dung - Deputy Head of the Production Department, Executive Committee Member, Head of the Women's Union (CD) of Ogino Vietnam Co., Ltd.
With more than 50% of employees being female, mainly of reproductive age and raising young children, the company pays special attention to their rights and needs. Thanks to the advice of the Women's Union, many support policies have been approved by the company's leaders. The company equips toilets and health rooms for female workers to rest during their menstrual period, flexibly applying a 30-minute/day break that is still paid or converted into a special day off. For pregnant female workers, the company arranges a separate area with a bed to rest after shift meals.
For female workers raising young children, the company has arranged 2 milking rooms with full equipment so that female workers can store milk safely; childcare allowance of 200,000 VND/child; flexibly converting regulations for female workers to take an hour/day off 1 hour/day early according to regulations through the form of 3 days/month off so that female workers have more time to rest and take care of their children...
Sharing the secret to being good at both domestic and foreign affairs, Ms. Dung said that she always focuses on organizing and arranging all work scientifically and reasonably to ensure a balance between work and family life. In her professional work and union activities, she always tries to improve her knowledge, practice skills to perform well the assigned tasks and take advantage of the attention, support, and facilitation of the Company's leaders and the Executive Board of the Trade Union to carry out women's activities.
Also an advanced example commended and rewarded by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, specialist II Nguyen Huong Tra - Deputy Head of the General Planning Department, Vice President in charge of the Hanoi Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital Trade Union has made many efforts in both professional, trade union work and life.
Dr. Tra has cultivated and studied English to be able to research, read documents and study in English.
From 2015 to present, Dr. Tra has been a member and director of 7 grassroots and city-level topics and 2 initiatives, along with 2 quality improvement projects. Doctor Tra is also a member of 2 multinational topics. During the union work, Dr. Tra and the hospital's union executive board have done a good job of taking care of the lives, representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and employees...
The spread and connection create vitality for the movement
In the emulation movement "Good at public work, Good at housework" of the Hanoi Trade Union, there are 4 collectives and 4 individuals commended by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; 4 collectives and 5 individuals commended by the Hanoi City Labor Federation; 5,581 collectives and 29,672 individuals commended and rewarded by trade unions at all levels.
To achieve this result, the emulation movement has been diversified by trade unions at all levels in form and content, with specific names and criteria for each different profession and job, and at the same time, the content is suitable for female subjects in different positions. The Women's Union is the core to advise the Union in organizing, implementing and directing the movement. The emulation movement "Good at public affairs, good at housework" was spread and connected by the direction of trade unions at all levels and became a source of motivation to motivate women to overcome many difficulties, promote talents, arouse the inner strength, intelligence, good virtues of Vietnamese women, the progress and development of themselves, their families and the community.
At the commendation ceremony, 20 female union members out of 1,000 female union members in difficult circumstances who were supported by the Union on this occasion directly received support. It is known that the total amount of support for the above 1,000 female union members is 2,016,000,000 VND.
