Colonel Vu Duy Luu - Deputy Chief of Political Affairs of Naval Region 2 - directly presented gifts and encouraged the students to enter the new school year.
This school year, out of 5 children sponsored by Region 2, 2 students are in grade 10, 1 student in grade 9 and 2 students in grade 5. Each student received 6 million VND along with many gifts such as packs of books, table lamps, books, and school supplies. The total value is more than 40 million VND.

Speaking at the gift-giving ceremony, Colonel Vu Duy Luu acknowledged and praised the students' academic achievements in the past school year and hoped that they will continue to overcome difficulties, study well, practice well, become a support for their families and be useful citizens for society.
According to Colonel Vu Duy Luu, the activity of giving gifts at the beginning of the new school year is a practical activity, contributing to spreading affection, beautifying the image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers - Navy soldiers" in the hearts of the people. In the coming time, Naval Region 2 will continue to implement the program "Fishermen's children's mothership", accompanying children in difficult circumstances, helping them nurture their dreams, overcome challenges and become useful citizens for their families and society.

After giving gifts to the children, the working delegation of the Naval Region 2 Command visited, grasped the situation and encouraged the family of Ho Minh Phu and the family of Tang Van Nguyen in Dong Cao Hamlet, Dong Hai Commune (Vinh Long Province).
Ho Minh Phu - a 9th grade student - shared: "It was a great fortune for him to be sponsored by the Navy's uncles. Although the family is facing difficulties, I promise to study hard, exercise, support her in family work and will try my best to turn her dream of becoming a Navy soldier like her uncles.
Ms. Le Thi Beo - Ho Minh Phu's grandmother - said: "Since being adopted by the Navy's uncles, the sleeping child has also carried the uniforms that the uncles gave him and always dreamed of becoming a Navy soldier. Now he has finished grade 9 and is determined to pursue his dream of becoming a Navy soldier. I am very grateful to the Navy staff for receiving and supporting my family.

Previously, on September 11, the working delegation of the Naval Region 2 Command also visited and presented gifts to Nguyen Ngo Khanh Ngan - an 11th grade student at Xuyen Moc High School, in Ben Loi Hamlet, Binh Chau Commune, Ho Chi Minh City.
