On February 5, in Rach Gia Ward, An Giang province, Coast Guard Region 4 Command in coordination with An Giang Provincial People's Committee organized a coordination conference to mobilize human resources, ships, and civilian vehicles to participate in protecting sovereignty, sovereign rights and national jurisdiction in the waters of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
The conference is organized to thoroughly grasp the viewpoints and policies of the Party, policies and laws of the State on the task of protecting sea and island sovereignty; concretize regulations on mobilizing civilian forces to participate in protecting sovereignty, sovereign rights and national jurisdiction at sea; and at the same time unify the content and methods of coordination between Coast Guard Region 4 Command and An Giang Provincial People's Committee in the management, mobilization and effective use of human resources, ships, and civilian vehicles when situations and tasks are set out.

At the conference, delegates were informed by representatives of the Coast Guard Region 4 Command about the security, order, and safety situation in the sea areas in the past time; the role, position, and importance of mobilizing civilian forces and vehicles in building a national defense posture associated with the people's security posture at sea. The opinions discussed at the Conference focused on clarifying the current situation of coordination and coordination; advantages, difficulties, and obstacles in the process of organization and implementation. At the same time, many practical solutions were proposed to improve mobilization efficiency, ensure strictness, compliance with legal regulations, and closeness to local practical conditions.
Speaking at the conference, Colonel Phan Duy Cuong - Deputy Commander of Coast Guard Region 4 emphasized: Mobilizing human resources, ships, and civilian vehicles to participate in protecting sea and island sovereignty is a long-term strategic task, contributing to promoting the overall strength of the entire political system and the entire people in managing and firmly protecting sovereignty, sovereign rights and national jurisdiction at sea. At the same time, he requested Party committees and local authorities to continue to pay attention to leading, directing, and closely coordinating with the Vietnam Coast Guard force in propaganda and mobilizing people to raise awareness, responsibility, and be ready to participate when required.

Mr. Le Van Phuoc - Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee affirmed that he will continue to closely coordinate with the Coast Guard Region 4 Command in coordinating and mobilizing civilian forces and vehicles; direct departments, agencies, branches and related localities to organize reviews and strictly manage human resources, ships, and vehicles, ensuring good response to the requirements of the task of protecting sea and island sovereignty in the new situation.
The conference is an important basis to strengthen the coordination and synergy relationship between the Vietnam Coast Guard force in general, Coast Guard Region 4 Command in particular, and Party committees, authorities and local people in deploying and implementing tasks, contributing to building an increasingly solid all-people national defense posture at sea, meeting the requirements of the task of protecting the Fatherland in the new situation.
