Overcoming initial confusions in the military environment, Sergeant Le Doan Manh Tri, a trainee majoring in Maritime, Naval Academy, gradually affirmed his bravery with outstanding academic achievements, especially the third prize at the National Student Chemistry Olympiad in 2025.
In 2023, she was admitted to the Naval Academy, began her training journey in the strict disciplinary environment of the army and quickly adapted to the pace of studying and living.
Although studying maritime, Tri still pays special attention to Chemistry. For him, this subject is not only dry equations but also helps to train logical thinking, problem analysis and resolution skills - important factors for future naval officers. Outside of official school hours, Tri actively researches advanced knowledge, gradually consolidating basic scientific foundations.
The opportunity came when the Naval Academy selected a team to participate in the 12th National Student Chemistry Olympiad in 2025. To prepare, Tri took advantage of extracurricular time, persistently researched in-depth materials, practiced solving difficult exercises and exchanged with lecturers. The difficult math problems that required many hours to find solutions helped him accumulate experience and train endurance.

As a result, Tri excellently won the third individual prize at the contest. This achievement is not only a personal mark but also contributes to affirming the training quality of the Naval Academy. For Tri, this is a motivation to continue to conquer higher goals in study and research.
Senior Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Xiem, Political Commissar of Battalion 2, Naval Academy, commented: "Tri always shows a high sense of responsibility, good discipline and passion for learning. Tri's example creates a positive spillover effect in the unit.
Tri's highlight is his ability to apply scientific thinking from Chemistry to specialized subjects. Colonel, Master Pham Van Diep, Head of the Maritime Machinery Department, assessed: a solid knowledge base helps Tri access specialized subjects logically and effectively, creating a premise for developing professional competence.
Not only striving for himself, Tri also actively shares learning experiences with his teammates, contributing to building a positive learning environment in the unit. Many students see him as a role model to follow.
The persistent efforts have been recognized by a series of achievements: Grassroots-level Emulation Soldier for two consecutive years (2023 - 2024, 2024 - 2025); Outstanding Typical Youth Union Member in 2024; Typical Young Face of the Naval Academy, Typical Young Face of the Navy and Promising Young Face of the entire army in 2025. Tri also participated in 2 scientific research topics at the faculty level and received a certificate of merit from the Vietnam Chemistry Association.
Le Doan Manh Tri's story is proof of the spirit of self-study and the aspiration to rise up of young soldiers. For him, each lesson, each page of materials is the foundation for building the bravery of a naval officer to be steadfast in the future.
