The groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Vu Xuan Thieu bridge in Hau Thanh commune has just been held with the coordination of Giac Hoa Pagoda Buddhism, local authorities and sponsors, philanthropists.
The project is built to connect traffic between Phuoc Cuong hamlet (Hau Thanh commune) and Bau Chua hamlet (Tuyen Thanh commune), creating favorable conditions for people to circulate, transport goods and students to school more safely.
According to the design, Vu Xuan Thieu bridge is 23m long, 3.5m wide, with a total estimated cost of about 550 million VND. The funding is contributed and supported by Giac Hoa Pagoda and philanthropists.
Attending the ceremony were Venerable Thich Le Tan - Certificate of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Tay Ninh province, Abbot of Giac Hoa Pagoda; Venerable Thich Le Duyen - Deputy Head cum Chief Secretary of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Tay Ninh province.
On the local side, there were Senior Lieutenant Colonel Ngo Khanh - Deputy Political Commissar of the Tay Ninh Provincial Military Command; Mr. Ha Thanh Chi - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Hau Thanh commune; Mr. Nguyen Thai Nha - Chairman of the People's Committee of Hau Thanh commune, along with representatives of the sponsoring unit and local people.
Speaking at the ceremony, Venerable Thich Le Tan highly appreciated the joint efforts of sponsors and philanthropists in building social security projects serving the community. According to the Venerable, the bridge not only meets the travel needs of people but also carries the meaning of gratitude, contributing to spreading the spirit of sharing for the community.
Representing the local government, Mr. Ha Thanh Chi sent his thanks to the Dao Trang of Giac Hoa Pagoda and accompanying units for supporting the construction of the civil bridge, contributing to promoting socio-economic development in the locality.
The ceremony ended with the groundbreaking ceremony for the Vu Xuan Thieu bridge project.
