Within the framework of the program, the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (GHPGVN) of Tay Ninh province coordinated with local authorities to organize the Great Requiem Ceremony to commemorate and express gratitude to heroic martyrs who sacrificed for national independence and fulfilled noble international obligations.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Pham Tan Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Dang Ngoc Tao - Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs; Colonel Tran Van Luan - Deputy Director of the Provincial Police; Colonel Nguyen Minh Tan - Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee 515.
On the side of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Tay Ninh province, there were Venerable Thich Minh Thien - Advisor to direct the Executive Board of the VBS of the province; Venerable Thich Hue Hong; Venerable Thich Le Tan; Venerable Thich Quang Tam - Head of the Executive Board of the VBS of the province and a large number of monks, nuns and Buddhists attending.

In a solemn atmosphere, delegates, monks, nuns and Buddhists performed flag salute ceremonies, offered incense, flowers and observed a minute of silence to commemorate the spirits of the martyrs.
Speaking at the ceremony, Venerable Thich Quang Tam emphasized the morality of "When drinking water, remember the source", and expressed his deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed themselves for the cause of national defense and international duty.
Representing provincial leaders, Mr. Nguyen Van Mung - Deputy Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Tay Ninh province said that many generations of officials and soldiers have sacrificed their blood and bones for national independence and international friendship. He also acknowledged the contributions of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Tay Ninh province in social security work, caring for policy families and people with meritorious services.
According to local leaders, in the past time, Tay Ninh Buddhism has participated in building 12 houses of gratitude, mobilized more than 5 billion VND for the Gratitude Fund and received monthly support for 53 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers.
On this occasion, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee presented gifts of gratitude to the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Tay Ninh province. At the same time, the organizing committee presented 25 gifts to policy families and people with meritorious services in the area, each gift including necessities and 1 million VND in cash.
The ceremony closed with a requiem chanting ritual performed by the Provincial Buddhist Ritual Committee, expressing sincerity and gratitude to the heroic martyrs.
