On March 29, in Phu Quoc special zone, An Giang Provincial Police solemnly organized the groundbreaking ceremony for the Phu Quoc Special Zone Police Headquarters project.
The project has a total investment of 607 billion VND, deployed on a land area of 60,000 m2, with a synchronous and modern construction scale. Many important items such as: office building combined with parking for officers and soldiers; hall; operations command center; barracks housing area; fire prevention and fighting, communication, security surveillance cameras... The project uses two sources of capital, of which the local budget is 124 billion VND, the rest is provided by the Ministry of Public Security. Up to now, the Provincial Police has completed investment procedures, fully selected design, construction and supervision consulting units in accordance with regulations, ensuring conditions for starting construction on schedule.
The investment in building the Phu Quoc Special Zone Police Headquarters is to meet the requirements and tasks in the new situation, contributing to improving command and operation capacity, combat readiness and effectiveness of ensuring security and order in the area. The project also shows the deep concern of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the Provincial Police in gradually completing facilities, creating a regular and modern working environment, helping officers and soldiers feel secure in their work and successfully complete assigned tasks.
Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Nguyen Van Han - Director of the Provincial Police emphasized that the commencement of construction of the headquarters is not only a specific step in the roadmap for modernizing the grassroots police force, but also creates a solid foundation to improve the quality of grasping the situation, proactively preventing and effectively combating crimes and violations of the law. The comrade requested construction units to strictly comply with the provisions of law on construction; ensure progress, quality, technique, aesthetics of the project and absolute labor safety; functional units strengthen inspection and supervision, closely coordinate throughout the implementation process. At the same time, the Phu Quoc Special Zone Police force needs to continue to promote the spirit of responsibility, proactiveness, creativity, linking investment in building material facilities with improving the overall quality of all aspects of work, maintaining political security stability, social order and safety, effectively serving the task of socio-economic development of the locality.
An Giang Provincial Police also wishes to continue to receive the attention, coordination, and close support of local Party committees and authorities to create favorable conditions for the project to be completed soon and put into use, effectively serving political tasks, especially the requirement to ensure security and safety for the APEC 2027 Summit.
