On the morning of February 26, in Phu Quoc special zone, An Giang province, the Command of Naval Region 5 organized a meeting to celebrate the 71st anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day (February 27, 1955 - February 27, 2026). Rear Admiral Trinh Xuan Tung - Commander of the Region attended and directed.
In recent years, continuing the good traditions and achievements of previous generations, the Military Medical Sector of Naval Region 5 has been constantly consolidated and developed. The team of officers, staff, and doctors always upholds the spirit of responsibility, and is regularly concerned with training and fostering to improve their qualifications.
Currently, the entire Region has 11 doctors, including 4 specialist doctors level I. Facilities have been invested in upgrading, repairing, and building new and spacious facilities, many modern medical equipment have been equipped and promoted effectively. Thereby, the level of satisfaction and trust of officers, soldiers as well as people in the area has been improved; making an important contribution to the results of building a comprehensively strong unit "Exemplary, typical".

Speaking at the meeting, Rear Admiral Trinh Xuan Tung - Commander of the Region - congratulated and praised the outstanding achievements that the Military Medical Sector of the Region has achieved in the past time. At the same time, he wished that comrades, cadres, doctors, and military medical staff would continue to promote traditions, constantly strive, make efforts, self-study to improve their qualifications in all aspects, master technical equipment, and deploy and apply more new and modern medical techniques.
Always strictly and seriously comply with the regulations, rules, and processes of medical examination and treatment of the industry and unit; maintaining medical ethics - steadfast medical technique - raising medical theory - overcoming adversity - all for the health of soldiers and people.
On this occasion, the Command of Naval Region 5 presented flowers and many meaningful gifts to the unit's medical staff.
