The inspection activity focuses on comparing records, origin, health status and regulations for each fighting buffalo before entering the official round. This is one of the important stages contributing to ensuring fairness, transparency and preserving the beauty of the unique traditional festival of the locality.
The delegation conducted actual inspections of the quality, physical condition and health of the fighting buffaloes participating in the festival. The health and appearance indicators of the buffaloes were recorded and evaluated seriously and objectively, ensuring compliance with regulations, safety and fairness before officially entering the festival.
Through inspection work, the Organizing Committee promptly assesses the quality and physical condition of the fighting buffaloes, ensuring the conditions for participating in the Festival according to regulations. This activity contributes to improving the quality of organization, maintaining the prestige and brand of the Do Son Traditional Buffalo Fighting Festival - a national intangible cultural heritage.
Mr. Pham Hoang Tuan - Vice Chairman of Do Son Ward People's Committee, Head of the Festival Organizing Committee - said that to prepare for this year's festival, from very early on, buffalo owners bought buffaloes from all over the country to raise, and now the buffaloes have been domesticated and have good physical strength. Based on the measurements of bust circumference, height, length of the buffalo, length and width of the horns... the communal houses will divide them into buffalo groups A - B, thereby selecting the strongest buffalo to compete in the next round.
The restoration of the Buffalo Fighting Festival Qualifying Round is a very important factor for the festival. Through this, the Organizing Committee selects good fighting buffaloes with beautiful competitions, worthy of the traditional festival level.
