Lam Dong is urgently deploying the construction of 5 inter-level boarding primary and secondary schools in Thuan An, Quang Truc, Dak Wil, Thuan Hanh and Tuy Duc communes to create favorable learning conditions for students in remote and isolated areas, especially children of ethnic minorities in western border areas, according to VNA.
Each school is built on an area of 4.7 - 5.3ha, with a total investment of about 226 - 240 billion VND. The works include administrative blocks, libraries, classrooms, department rooms, multi-purpose buildings, dining halls, cultural living areas, student dormitories, teacher dormitories and synchronous technical infrastructure systems.
At Thuan An Inter-level Boarding Primary and Secondary School, workers are taking advantage of every hour to speed up construction progress. Under the hot weather in the Central Highlands border region, many items are being deployed simultaneously to soon complete the project to serve the new school year.
According to the Construction Investment Project Management Board No. 3 of Lam Dong province, this is the project with the fastest progress among the 5 projects. The project started in November 2025, with a total investment of nearly 226 billion VND from the central and local budgets and other legal capital sources. Currently, the project has reached about 52% of the construction volume, and many items have been completed to the 3rd floor. The project is expected to be accepted and handed over for use on August 15, 2026.
In Quang Truc commune, the inter-level boarding general education school project has a total investment of 240 billion VND, currently reaching about 45% of the construction volume. Key items such as the school building block, multi-purpose building, dining hall, cultural activity hall are under construction on the 3rd floor and completing the construction and embellishment part. Internal road and yard system, swimming pool, embankment, fire prevention and fighting water tank and clean water tank are also being accelerated. The project is expected to be completed on August 15, 2026.
Three projects in Dak Wil, Tuy Duc and Thuan Hanh communes are implemented in the period 2026 - 2027. The investor has completed the construction drawing design, total estimate and is preparing to deploy simultaneously when receiving sufficient land in May 2026.
Mr. Ha Sy Son - Director of Construction Investment Project Management Board No. 3 of Lam Dong province - said that the implementation process faced many difficulties due to complex hilly terrain, prolonged rain, fluctuating construction material prices and the work of determining land prices to serve site clearance took a lot of time.
Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi requested units to mobilize maximum resources and urgently construct to complete two projects in Thuan An and Quang Truc communes, in time for use in the 2026 - 2027 school year. For the remaining three projects, localities must complete site handover before June 30, 2026.
The investment in building 5 multi-level boarding schools is expected to create better learning conditions for students in border areas, where there are still many difficulties in transportation and school distance.
