In order to innovate propaganda and mobilization of the masses, Nga Bay Ward Police (Can Tho City) coordinated with the Party Building Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward to implement the model "Propagating and spreading positive information and mobilizing ethnic minorities and religious people to comply with the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws through social media platforms".
Nga Bay ward currently has 5 religions operating at 13 places of worship with more than 14,800 followers. From the local reality, units identify dignitaries, officials and reputable people as the core force in propaganda and mobilization of people.
On February 25, 2026, 3 units issued Coordination Plan No. 04-KHPH/BXDĐ-MTTQ-CAP to implement the model. The goal is to innovate propaganda methods on social networks, provide official information, orient public opinion, raise awareness of ethnic minorities and religious people in complying with the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State, and at the same time contribute to promoting digital transformation at the grassroots level.
After a period of implementation, a propaganda team was established and assigned specific tasks; regularly posting information about guidelines, policies, good people, good deeds, and at the same time promptly orienting information in cyberspace, contributing to limiting false information, distortion, and incitement.
The highlight of the model is the Zalo group " Spreading good things, beautiful ideas among ethnic minorities and religions", established on June 26, 2026 with 50 members including representatives of units, socio-political organizations, heads of religious establishments and prestigious people. To date, the group has posted 20 news articles and attracted more than 300 shares, helping official information reach officials, dignitaries, prestigious people and ethnic minorities and religions quickly.
Through the model, dignitaries, officials and prestigious people continue to promote the role of bridge between Party committees, authorities and people; actively propagate and mobilize people to comply with the law, develop the economy, preserve cultural identity and participate in the all-people movement to protect national security.
Initial effectiveness shows that the application of social networks in propaganda is a suitable direction, contributing to consolidating people's trust, strengthening the great national unity bloc and building Nga Bay ward (Can Tho City) to become increasingly stable and developed.
